Crate Digging

The term Crate Digging comes from old record shops that kept all the records in used milk crates. DJs, Producers and vinyl fanatics go through all these crates to find that special tune or sample which they could put in their DJ sets, productions or record collection. It could be a messy experience digging in cold and dusty basements or in records stores where shopkeepers rather spend their time to talk about the bass guitar riff 3.42 minutes into a obscure jazz record then to clean. This project is a look into crate digging and record collecting.
